We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Purchaser to join a dynamic procurement team. The Purchaser will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and terms, monitoring stock levels, and forecasting inventory needs. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to ensure the timely availability of materials and products while maintaining cost efficiency.
You will work closely with the warehouse and sales teams to track and adjust stock levels based on usage patterns, seasonal demand, and forecasted requirements. Placing orders with suppliers based on stock levels, demand forecasts, and production schedules.
Monitor and report on purchasing budgets and ensure procurement activities are cost-effective. Continuously seek ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality and delivery timelines.
Skills:
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management (2+ years preferred).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience with purchasing or inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of forecasting techniques and inventory management best practices.
