Customer Service Team Leader

£25,000 - £30,000 , Wantage - Must be a car driver due to remote location

Global CTS Recruitment are working with a client based in Wantage who are looking for a Customer Service Supervisor to manage the Customer Service team and would be responsible for communicating with internal and external customers either via phone, email or face-to-face in relation to a company product or service. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone looking to lead a small team that perhaps hasn't had the experience of doing so yet, but is looking for this as their next step.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise day-to-day responsibilities in the Customer service department
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely manner and resolve customer problems
  • Build familiar relationships between clients and the company
  • Follow up on customer leads
  • Prepare and negotiate quotations
  • Manage customer service procedures, policies and standards
  • Involved in recruitment, training, performance reviews and appraisals
  • Champion the customer throughout the business and be the first point of escalation once product delivery has been made
  • Knowledgeable about products and services offered by the business
  • Liaising with customers on post-order project issues
  • Liaise with the purchasing department to ensure supplier orders are placed
  • First point of contact for warranty & aftersales issues, including the logging of reported problems and deciding the relevant course of action
  • Updating CRM software with all customer interactions
  • Proactive monthly service report of activity, performance, data and customer updates
  • Formal 1:1 appraisal/performance reviews with team - bi-annual
  • Assist with company audit requests - annually
