On Furlough? Here’s Some Inspiration To Keep Yourself Busy!
Updated: May 4
Are you on furlough leave? Here are some ideas to help keep busy:
1) Update Your Skills
Sign up for seminars to brush up on your sales skills or take an online course! Google are offering lots of free online courses at the moment. Ranging from digital marketing, understanding code to public speaking. Check them out here.
James White is also offering Zoom seminars to assist with sales training and tips, more information can be found on his website here.
2) Update Your CV
Now is a great time to update your CV. Ensure it is kept up to date regularly. Refer to our previous blog on
March 11th to assist with CV writing tips here.
3) Learn New Recipes
Use this time as a great opportunity to try those recipes that you don’t usually have the time for mid week. Or those recipes that need to be slow cooked all day. Our MD Helen has enjoyed trying new recipes
including a lovely beef and coconut curry! Some recipes with store cupboard favourites can be found here.
5) Try Baking
Our team here at Global CTS have been using the time to bake new treats each week. Our favourites so far are cheesecakes, lemon tarts and brownies! Why not give it ago, brilliant fun with children too! Some great baking recipes can be found here.
6) Take Up A New Hobby
Why not try a jigsaw puzzle, knitting, or a colouring book? Our MD has been enjoying her latest puzzle, and our Resourcer Chloe has been enjoying some down time in the sunshine with her adult colouring book.
7) Do Those Chores You’ve Been Putting Off
Why not file and shred the mountain of paperwork building up at home? Or paint the fences that you meant to do last summer? Or beeswax the dining room table, not an easy task! For those with green fingers - it’s strawberry planting season!
Whatever you choose to do whilst on furlough please remember to take care of yourself and stay safe.
All the best,
The Global CTS Recruitment Team
